At Lapchi, we donned an aesthetic that drives in those who crave the original. The rugs are made with practices seen fit by goodweave™ at a facility in the beautiful mountains of Nepal. The role I played here has been rewarding the masses with access to spirited floor coverings that speak directly from my creative heart. Each interior design project is carefully curated to embellish the brief, as well as adding a brand new vision to the environment. My path here from showroom assistant to company graphic designer has left pride in the location of rugs past laid.

The motif of flowing organic geometry drove this brief at this upscale downtown Chicago hotel. The subtle and crystalline line work carries the flow of pattern through the perfect placement of furniture. Upon entering the doors, you are greeted with a large banister leading you to a soft and elegant resting place for any jetsetter longing for that peace of home.

This open-source social working area lends a place for designers and creatives to meet and discuss projects and ideas. Branding a rug for this brick-and-mortar was to fulfill a sense of motion while still evoking relaxation. The balance of emotion with a medium such as silk and wool invites those from the outside to experience a common ground with peers.
Pieces such as this cater to the fast-paced work life that thrives inside of Chicago's renowned Merchandise Mart Plaza.

As the Chicago branch designer, my roles can blend between external facing visuals and the upkeep of our own representation. Through my years with Lapchi, my goal has always been to create a consistent concept-based composition. Whether it's a day to day flyer, or a large campaign, my heart lies with the focus on our identity and the place it lives within the astute Merchandise Mart.

DETAILS
A moon of Jupiter carries with it the most interesting surface texture of any moon in our solar system. When the client requested texture, Europa came naturally to me as the most indicative personification. Placed in a setting of a living room, this ginormous rug speaks clearly back to the monstrous size of the moon itself. Carrying this chaotic character from deep space, all the way down to earth, lends a gorgeous celestial path.
